Before we get started we need to be sure that your merchandise is salable. To do this, your best option is to fill out this form or email photos of the items you're trying to consign to info@furnitureconsignment.com. Please make note of our business hours and call ahead if you plan to bring larger items.

Condition
Evaluating your furniture on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, we look for pieces that are in between a 7 and a 10.

Style
We welcome quality items that appeal to today’s buyer. Furniture styles that remain popular in the marketplace sell the fastest and for the most money.

Living Environment
We only accept items from smoke-free homes and if your furniture is upholstered, the home must also be free from cats.

What We Won't Take
Living room upholstery that is more than ten years old, French provincial styles, 1980’s dark pine, Queen Anne dining room furniture, entertainment armoires or computer armoires. We would not accept items that need reupholstering, refinishing or repair. Items that have been damaged by animals will not be approved. Items that have been in a smoking environment that have odors or sun damage are not items that we can accept.

FCG is happy to offer a convenient, fee-based pick-up service for our consignors. The fee is determined by the number of items, your location, and the overall difficulty of the move.

Consignors may also make an appointment to deliver approved items to our showrooms during our receiving hours. Receiving hours are Monday – Saturday between 10am– 4pm.

Our showrooms are the perfect place to get your furniture sold for as much as possible! We have 4 locations in Massachusetts - Burlington, Hanover, Natick, & Plymouth. Each showroom has its own style and you'll see that based on the brands and types of pieces displayed in each store. This allows us to place our inventory in the showroom where it will have the best opportunity to sell for the most money.

At Furniture Consignment Gallery, we make sure your furniture shines in our showrooms. We carefully arrange each item into collections, or vignettes, giving our customers an immersive, unique shopping experience. Our focused merchandising has been a proven method of selling consignment furniture fast and for as much money as possible.

Once your furniture is in our showrooms, we catalog each item into our online program, which allows our consignors to track the status of each item. Our consignors love this because it allows them to be on top of everything pertaining to the item(s) they are trying to sell, including the price, markdown schedule, and payout dates.

We determine the starting price of each item based on several factors, including:
• Original Purchase Price
• Age
• Condition
• Name Brand

Our consignors make 50% of the sale if the item sells within the first 60 days. If the item does not sell in the first 60 days, the consignor then has the option to take the item back. If the consignor wishes to leave it for sale at FCG, the consignor's cut is reduced to 30%. With all that said, it is always our goal to sell your item as quickly as possible for as much money as we can.

After a successful sale, the consignor's share will be processed automatically, and a check will be issued on the 20th of the following month (e.g., an item sold in July will be paid on August 20th). Checks can be collected in person at our Hanover location until the end of the month in which they are issued. If not retrieved by then, the check will be mailed to the consignor.

All consigned items follow our Markdown Schedule:

• After 30 days on the sales floor, the item's price will decrease by 10% of the original sale price.

• After 60 days on the sales floor, the item's price will decrease by 20% of the original sale price.

• After 90 days on the sales floor, the item's price will decrease by 30% of the original sale price.
